「岩木山の冬」は、冬の岩木山の美しさをイメージして仕込んだシーズナルビールです。ホップと酵母が持つ“オレンジらしさ”を組み合わせ、雪・寒さ・こたつといえば思い浮かぶ「みかん」のような味わいを、果物を使わずに表現しました。

使用したホップは マンダリナババリア（ドイツ）・ルミノーサ（Indie Hops）・フリースタイル パシフィカ。いずれもシトラスやオレンジのキャラクターをしっかりと持つ品種です。発酵には Voss Kveik を使用し、オレンジの風味と軽いスパイシーさをプラス。適度な苦味としっかりした香味、ちょうど良いABVで冬にぴったりの一杯に仕上げました。

Iwakisan no Fuyu is our latest seasonal, brewed to honor the beauty of our local mountain in winter. This American IPA brings together hops and yeast that naturally express an orange-like character. When we think of winter — snow, the cold, and cozy moments — mikan always comes to mind. Without adding any fruit, we wanted to create a beer that captures that bright orange flavor.

We brewed this beer with German Mandarina Bavaria, Indie Hops Luminosa, and Freestyle Pacifica, all chosen for their citrus and orange notes. Fermented with Voss Kveik, the yeast adds even more orange character along with a light spice. The result is a beer with moderate bitterness, full flavor and aroma, and a comfortable ABV — perfect for winter drinking.
