夏最初のマジックスペルシリーズは、気軽に楽しめる一杯を目指して仕込みました。今回はフリースタイル・パシフィカを使用したイタリアンピルスナー。ノーブルホップらしい上品なキャラクターに、オレンジゼストやライムブロッサムのような爽やかな香りが重なります。

ベースはシンプルなドイツ産ピルスナーモルト中心の構成。ホップを引き立てつつ、飲み飽きしない満足感を持たせています。発酵にはドイツ系ラガー酵母を使用し、クリーンで伝統的なラガーらしさをしっかり表現しました。

今回の物語では、キャラクターたちが雨の鰺ヶ沢の海辺でゆったりとした時間を過ごしています。マジックスペルシリーズも20市町村の折り返し地点が近づいてきました。20作目をどうするか考えながら、まずはこのビールを片手に、鰺ヶ沢の浜辺でイカ焼きを食べている気分を楽しんでください。

An easy-drinking Italian Pilsner to begin the summer Magic Spell series

For the first Magic Spell release of summer, we wanted to brew something easy-drinking and refreshing. This time we went with an Italian Pilsner featuring Freestyle Pacifica, bringing traditional noble hop character layered with notes of orange zest and lime blossom.

The beer is built on a mostly German pilsner malt base, keeping things simple while still satisfying. Fermented with a German lager strain, the result is a clean and proper lager character that lets the hops shine.

In this chapter of the Magic Spell story, our characters find themselves in Ajigasawa on a rainy day, enjoying time by the beach. The series is slowly approaching the halfway point of 20 municipalities, so we’ve already started thinking about what we should do for the 20th release. Until then, enjoy this beer and imagine drinking it on the beaches of Ajigasawa with some grilled squid from a roadside stand.
