[Passing Words to the Future] Connecting through Tsugaru-ben and Beer

[Preserving Language for the Future] Connecting Through Tsugaru-ben Beer

Since our first day of business in 2016, Be Easy Brewing has held a firm, non-negotiable belief:
that our beers should be named after the authentic local language, "Tsugaru-ben."

OUR BELIEF
We Were Championing the Tsugaru Dialect Long Before It Was Trendy
Back in 2016, when we released one of our first beers, "Azumashi," the craft beer world was saturated with English and stylish Western-language names, while local dialects were often shunned as "countryside." From a marketing standpoint, using the Tsugaru dialect—said to be the most difficult in Japan—to name premium beers was nothing but a risk.

While it is common today to respect local culture, we have been championing the Tsugaru dialect out of pure respect long before any such trend emerged. We simply did not want to see this beautiful vocabulary, history, and unique language disappear as a relic of the past.

A Journey of Discovery Starting with a Single Glass

When people around the world pick up our beer, they naturally become curious and ask, "What does this name mean?" We believe that this "discovery starting with a single glass"—rather than government promotion—is the ultimate way for people across the globe to naturally encounter the Tsugaru dialect and learn the true warmth of this region.
